| New York City Police Department is chasing after a man who robbed a bank on July 15 with a bunch of flowers.
The odd event took place at a bank in Chelsea, N.Y. An African man came into the bank with a bouquet of flowers. Then he tramped toward the counter and gave a note to a teller.
As soon as the teller read the message, she almost fainted, handing over money in great haste. The man left the flowers on the counter and leisurely walked away with $440. (520,000 won)
The note reportedly says, "Give me all your hundreds and fifties, don't be a hero."
The New York Police Department said that it was the second bank heist by the suspect, who last week robbed another bank in the city armed with a potted house plant.
권총 아닌 꽃다발로 은행 턴 기막힌 강도
뉴욕 경찰이 ‘꽃다발 은행강도’를 추적하고 있다. 30대로 보이는 남자는 꽃다발만 갖고 현금을 털어(?) 도주했다.
사건은 지난 15일(현지시간) 뉴욕 첼시의 한 은행에서 발생했다. 평범한 옷 차림의 흑인 남자가 손에 꽃다발을 든 채 은행에 들어섰다. 저벅저벅 창구로 걸어간 남자는 꽃다발에 붙어 있는 메시지 카드를 떼어 창구직원에게 건냈다.
메시지를 읽은 직원이 허겁지겁 돈을 챙겨주자 남자는 꽃다발을 창구에 놓고는 유유히 사라졌다.
뒤늦게 밝혀졌지만 카드에는 “100달러와 50달러권 지폐를 모두 내놔라. 영웅이 될 생각은 말아라.”라고 적혀 있었다.
이런 식으로 무기도 없이 맨손(?)으로 남자가 챙겨간 돈은 모두 440달러(약 52만원). 뉴욕 경찰은 20일 은행 CCTV에 잡힌 남자의 얼굴을 공개하고 수배령을 내렸다.
한편 뉴욕에선 1주 전에도 비슷한 은행강도사건이 발생했었다. 뉴욕포스트에 따르면 화분을 들고 은행에 들어간 남자가 유사한 수법으로 2325달러를 챙겨 도주했다. |
