Manchester United’s South Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung was given a rating of six for his performance by SkySports which said he “harassed Barcelona for as long as he could. Limited influence going forward.”

Manchester’s goal scorer Wayne Rooney received the highest ranking for the English side with seven.

Left winger Park and his teammates blew their chance to lift the Champions League trophy for a fourth time in a 3-1 loss to FC Barcelona at Wembley Stadium, Sunday (KST).

Park had to again endure a repeat of the defeat in the final in 2009, also at the hands of the Spanish side. He missed out on Red Devils’ 2008 triumph over Chelsea as he was not selected for the game.

Park was in the starting 11 at Wembley, as he was in 2009. This time he played the full 90 minutes -- two years ago he was substituted in the 66th for striker Dimitar Berbatov in the team’s 2-0 loss also to Barcelona.

The South Korean showed his disappointment with Sunday’s result as he refused interviews, leaving the field with his runner-up medal in his hand, not around his neck.

Park was not even on the bench in 2008, when his teammates hoisted “Big Ears” with a 6-5 win on penalties after playing to a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
